WikiAssam or RaizKoox is an open and free encyclopedia on Assam, the peoples of Assam and matters that touch the lives of these peoples.

• The RaizKoox is a collective effort to make available public information in a convenient and searchable way. Articles in this collection are being continuously added and updated by the users themselves. A user can not only read the encyclopedia, but can also add his own writings. As a result, articles here will be continuously edited and polished and asymptotically they will reach perfectness. Users can easily flit from one article to the next, by just clicking on the links.

• The information is available under the GNU Free Documentation License, which means you are at liberty to distribute the contents of this encyclopedia according to your wishes, as long as you pass on the same rights to the recipents.

This model of collecting and distributing information is directly inspired by the Wikipedia.

This model does not come without its pitfalls. But more importantly it gives us an opportunity to work collectively in a novel way and develop mechanisms to resolve differences. As a first step, we will follow the guidelines and build on them as necessary.
