NSCN(IM)

NSCN(IM) is the Isak-Muivah faction of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim, a separatist organization in Nagaland. At present, it is maintaining a dialogue with the Government of India to share power and establish peace in Nagaland. Its main rival is the Khaplang fraction NSCN(K).

The NSCN(IM) presently runs a parallel underground government called Government of the People's Republic of Nagalim (GPRN).

Organizational History

The undivided NSCN broke away from the original Naga National Council (NNC) in 1980 and further divided into the two factions in 1988.
