Education
Chandradhar Barua was educated in Jorhat and Calcutta. He was a businessman by profession. He was active in the independence movement (for India) against the British.

Chandradhar Barua was the founding editor of the "Oxom Xaahityaa Xobhaa Potrika" which started publication in 1926.

Chandrdhar Barua's published works include "Meghnaar Bodh Naatyo" (1904), "Bhaagyo Porikhaa" (1915, 1962), "Tiloottomaa Xombhow" (1924), "Raajorxi" (1937), "Ronjon" (1927), "Purnojonmo", "Moogol Bijoy", and "Aahoom Xondhyaa".
