Benudhar Sarmah

Benudhar Sarmah was born in Saring (Saaring) near the town of Sibsagar (Xiwosaagor) on the 16th of November, 1894. His parents were Dimbeswar Sarmah and Tuloxi Dewi.

He became an assistant editor of the newspaper "Doinik Baatori" in 1935.

Benudhar Sarmah wrote a large number of books. Some of his books are "Dr. Wade's Account of Assam" (1927), "Jawaharlal Nehrur Bondi Jiwan" (1935), "Raangpotaa" (1943), "Ximaanto Gaandhi Khaa~ Abdul Gofur Khaan" (1945), "Saataawon Saal" (1947), etc.
