Arun Sarma

Arun Sarma was an editor of the "Assam Tribune" and the Director of the Akashvani Radio Center in Dibrugarh.
Arun Sarma was born in the Village of Ghaa~hi in the district of Sonitpur. He started his career as an a teacher in Borongaabaari M.C.D. High School although he prospered by changing careers several times in life.
Although he is better known as a playwright, he also wrote several novels. His popular plays include "Nibaaron Bhottaasaaryo", and "Kukur Nesiyaa Baagh", He received a Sahitya Academy (India) Award in 1998 for his novel "Aaxirbaador Rong" (The Color of Benediction).
