Aideu Handique

Aideu Handique (Aaideu Xondikoi (1920-)) was the first Assamese film actress.
Aideu Xondikoi was b orn in 1920 in the Village of Paani Dinhingiyaa in the Mouza of Mohuraa in the district of Golaghat. Her parents were Nilaambor and Ma-Lakhmi.
Aideu Xondikoi was a forerunner in the society. She valiantly stood against the conservatism of the society in Assam in the 1930s and became an actress in the fledgling Assam film industry. She is best known for her part as "Joyaa" in the film "Joymoti" directed by Jyotiprasad Agarwalla.
