AASU

AASU or All Assam Students' Union is the foremost students' organization in Assam. It came into sharp political prominence when it led the Anti-Foreigner Movement, giving rise to a slew of student organizations representing different ethnic or religious groups.

History
AASU is a later-day incarnation of the Asom Chatra Sanmelan was launched by Lakshminath Bezbaruah in 1916.
